About
Elad Argaman (b. 1982, Tel Aviv) is a multidisciplinary artist whose practice interrogates the friction between inherited cultural narratives and the fluid, often fragmented identities of the digital age. Drawing from his background in Visual Communication (BA, Shenkar) and his recent MFA from Goldsmiths, University of London, Argaman bridges the gap between precise graphic semiotics and the tactile, unpredictable nature of fine art.
The Architecture of "In-Betweenness"
Argaman’s work is anchored in the concept of liminality—the psychological and physical "gray zones" found in transit hubs, borderlands, and digital interfaces. Rather than focusing on a fixed destination, he captures the unsettled state of being "in transit."

Materiality & Research: His process is intensely archival. Whether investigating the socio-political history of a specific Mediterranean coastline or the evolution of urban signage, he selects materials that carry their own historical weight—often repurposing industrial detritus, ephemeral digital data, or localized raw minerals.

Immersive Environments: His installations frequently function as sensory disruptions. By manipulating light, scale, and spatial orientation, he forces the viewer to confront a sense of productive disorientation, turning a passive gallery visit into an active navigation of contemporary anxiety and belonging.
